To Laugh or to Cry?

Saw a back to the 60's bumper sticker today - "Love Mother Earth".
The irony? It was attached to the bumper of a Lexus LX SUV. V-8 engine. 13 MPG in the city. Starting price - $67,895.

I think the owner loves Conspicuous Consumption more than Mother Earth.

    How do you keep from throwing rocks at morons like this??
    I am too chicken to do it, but I do so love those militants who slap bumper stickers on those bad boys that say, "I'm changing the environment! Ask me how!"

    What gets me is the giant SUVs with the yellow "Support Our Troops" ribbon fixed to the rear hatch. I've noticed they make giant yellow ribbons that will really stand out on the huge SUV hatches. I can't help but snort. Yeah, support our troops so they can bring home my oil. Sheesh!
